Holiday Weekend

It is Easter Weekend and Passover. The two holidays do not coincide frequently. Interestingly, I just found out that my niece has a soccer tournament this weekend in Atlanta. I wondered how someone would plan a tournament on such a significant Holiday weekend for so many people. Regardless of personal belief, this weekend is significant for a great many people in this country.

For me, I am with my Mother and some of my family this weekend and we will have a nice celebration. I trust you will be with family this weekend, either in person or in spirit and have a wonderful time.

As I walked my Mother’s dog this morning, I relished the sun rising, the crisp, clean air, the flowers blooming, the grass greening and growing, the trees sporting new growth and new leaves. This time of year is a rebirth, and each day brings changes. I just fill my eyes and explore everything, making memories for myself.

I realize that I also am changing, growing, becoming different, more. I learn more each day, I believe more, trust more, and am so grateful for the life I’ve been given, the opportunities, the people, the beauty. We each have this possibility of more, better, greater for us. It is our birthright. It is reality when we believe and trust.
