This morning after my walk I went to check the garden. Now I’ve learned that I take a basket with me when I go look at the #garden. I usually have to pull a few weeds, and pick something after about mid-June. Today was no exception. I expected to see 3 or 4 zucchini ready to harvest, but found 8 ready. I had been watching them, but was away for the weekend and I guess they decided to multiple and be fruitful. 🙂 It was fine, as I love zucchini, and have friends who also love fresh zucchini. A treat for all of us.
It made me think about #harvesting my #dreams First I dreamed up what I’d really LOVE in my life. Once I had that down on paper, designed and detailed, I went about making it happen. Just like my garden, in January I start thinking about what I want to harvest and eat, and I spend hours looking over the seed catalogs to determine the best variety. Then I purchase the seed, and prepare the garden, adding compost and working the soil.
I do the same things with my dreams; figuring out what I would love, detailing the dream, placing my order. Preparing the garden, would be getting my life on track for the dream, doing what I can each day to bring that dream 1 step closer to reality. And, like my garden where I depend on Mother Nature and a higher power to provide sunlight, water, bees to fertilize, all to produce the final fruit, I depend on my higher power to provide what I need to grow my dream. But, as with the garden, I have to work it – pull the weeds, provide additional water, supports, etc. For my dream, I have to do the things necessary to make the dream reality – these differ with each dream, but each involves some work, planning, decision making, choices and new ideas.
For both I maintain my faith, my unwavering belief that fruits will be produced and will be plentiful, as we live in an #abundant universe. The real lack is in our thinking. So, today I harvested some o the fruits of my labors, my beliefs and my faith; both in the vegetable garden I planted AND in the garden of life that I planted – Moving me one step closer to the life I would LOVE to live.
I hope you have designed you DREAM life, and are working each day to be in that life. If you need help along the way, you know where to find me.
