Today I express gratitude for my wonderful life, for the joy of each new day, for being able to do what I love doing every day, for the freedom to be me in all my glory. I also revel in the joy of the people who have chosen to grace my life with their presence.
Recently many of my friends have lost family members, and close friends. The holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas are particularly significant times of celebration and thanks, and losing someone close at these times can put additional strain on lives, families and celebrations. My heart opens and sends love to those who have lost at this time.
Many friends and family have passed on to the next realm, among them my husband, my grandmother, my father. I learned many lessons from these wonderful individuals, shared many a laugh, a few tears, lots of fun, and more. I make it a point to remember that I also was a giver to them when I brought joy, love, laughter along with my other gifts, or sometime challenges :-). We shared some wondrous times together and, now that we are apart, I give thanks for what we had and remember with fondness the love, conversations, shared activities with these people. I think how wonderful that we had those moments together and that my marvelous mind can relive them any time I choose, reviving the memory as if it were yesterday, thus bringing the person into my life once more.
For those who have lost, I hope this brings some measure of comfort. For all, remember the good, love today, relish the present moment, and make more memories.
